From Policy to Pavement: How Government Decisions Show Up in Our Lives—And What We Can Do About It
This workshop examines how policies at the federal, state and local level can hinder democratic participation and community power. Together, we’ll discuss how you can engage at your own pace to preserve democracy and build community resilience. Rather than taking a reactive approach to current challenges, we’ll focus on what we’re building toward– And how we can use our voices and collective power to get elected leaders in Congress, the state legislature, and municipal government to push back against policies that threaten democracy and help build a future for the betterment of all: a future where justice, equity, and democracy thrive.
