Walk and Talk Book Club
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans
Wednesday, August 26
9:30am - 11:00am
Walk around Barth Pond while discussing The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. Books will be available at the Adult & Teen Services Desk one month before the discussion.
Sybil is seventy-three years old, in the winter of her life. Sybil has always made sense of the world through writing letters and through this epistolary novel we see how she comes to terms with her past and present and learns forgiveness.
Similar to a regular book club, except we will take the book club meeting outside for a walking discussion! Copies of the book will be available at the Downers Grove Public Library (DGPL library card or a card from another SWAN library required) a month before each discussion at the second floor Adult & Teen Services desk. Pre-registration is required through the Downers Grove Public Library. This one-day program will include discussion of the entire book.
Contact the Adult & Teen Services Desk at ATS@dglibrary.org with questions.
Submit a request for a program accommodation. Learn more about accommodations and accessibility at DGPL.
