Join storyteller Lynn Rymarz as she tells the history of the iconic World War II Rosie the Riveter poster, told through the character of Geraldine Hoff Doyle, who was known as the poster’s first “We Can Do It” girl.
Hear how American women stepped out of their traditional roles as housewives during WWII to work in defense factories, helping support the war effort.
Using historical photographs, other Rosie the Riveter stories will be shared.
Learn about the story of Millie Werber, a Polish Jewish teenager, who was sent to work in a defense factory in Poland supporting the Nazi war effort. Hear about her life before, during and after the war.
