Although it no longer exists, Sag Bridge was a thriving 19th century canal town. Author Pat Camalliere describes the fascinating history of the town, as well as sharing photos and ghost stories.

Sag Town's land is now a part of present-day Lemont. Learn about its formation by glaciers to the closing of its school district in 1959, as wells as its importance and the reasons for its decline.

Pat Camalliere is an author and amateur historian. Her books include The Mystery at Mount Forest Island, The Mystery at Black Partridge Woods, The Mystery at Sag Bridge and the soon-to-be-released The Miracle at Assisi Hill. The series presents historical mysteries that take place in Lemont, Illinois, a suburb southwest of Chicago. An amateur historian and archivist at the Lemont Area, Historical Society, Camalliere sets her books in Lemont because of the area’s fascinating history and geography. She is a member of The Society of Midland Authors, The Chicago Writers Association, and Sisters in Crime.
