ONLINE 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's

Join Mayra Ligeza of the Alzheimer's Association as she outlines Alzheimer's warning signs, as well as the differences between dementia and age-related memory loss. Access sent to registrants.

Alzheimer's and other dementias cause memory, thinking, and behavior changes that interfere with daily living. Learn about 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in yourself and others. The one-hour program will cover:

• typical age-related changes
• common warning signs of Alzheimer's
• how to approach someone about memory concerns
• early detection
• the benefits of a diagnoses and the diagnostic process
• Alzheimer's Association Resources

Mayra Ligeza is the Manager of Outreach and Education at the Alzheimer's Association Chicago Office. She holds an M.A. in Human Services Administration and a B.A. in Social Work.

Registration with email address is required. The webinar link and password, along with any handouts, will be emailed to participants the day before the program. If you do not receive it by 5:00 p.m. the previous day, please contact the library.
