In the early months of 2020, COVID-19 cases accelerated in the United States as primary elections were being held across the country. Numerous states have had to adjust their systems to adapt to this new public health crisis, including Illinois. In this presentation, Tyler St. Clair from Common Cause Illinois will discuss the impact that COVID-19 had on the primary election here in Illinois, how the impacts affected election preparation, and what voters can expect leading up to November.
