A powerful program that provides insight into the horrific hate crime committed against Matthew Shepard, the timeline of the events, the changes that followed, and where we stand today.
Drawing from his personal journey and professional experience, Greg Baird illustrates how one individual can create meaningful change. Through powerful storytelling, attendees will gain practical tools to become effective allies in both workplace and community environments. This session promotes moving beyond division and hate by fostering understanding through education—particularly in support of the LGBTQ+ community—while honoring and celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month.
Participants will gain valuable insights into embracing differences, strengthening community connections, and cultivating a positive, inclusive environment. The lecture also highlights the importance of creating safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, workplaces, and schools.
