How to Share an Egg: A True Story of Hunger, Love, and Plenty is a memoir by journalist and chef Bonny Reichert, exploring her life as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor through the lens of food, family, and identity. The book intertwines her personal journey of self-discovery with her father's experiences of starvation and survival, using recipes and cooking as a way to connect with her heritage, process intergenerational trauma, and find her own voice as a writer and chef.

The library is honored to have been chosen, along with 38 other libraries, to participate in this year's program: Between Two Worlds: Exploring Jewish Culture and Religion through Yiddish Literature. Join us throughout September and October to learn about the incredible diversity in religions, cultures, and identities throughout the community.
