Come and learn about library resources for caregivers caring for adults.
DGPL staff librarians will showcase the library’s:
Memory kits: boxes filled with items and activities centered around a place, time, or theme aimed at evoking memories, sparking conversations, and creating opportunities for engagement.
Sensory kits: boxes that include an assortment of tactile and visual items designed to help to promote peace and calm.
Accessibility items available through the library’s Anything Emporium collection: large print playing cards, braille dice, push down scissors, a button hook for dressing, adaptive gaming equipment, and more.
Rising Reads: a collection featuring titles combining exciting stories with easy-to-read chapters.
Next Chapter Book Club: an online book club for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Staff social worker and social work interns: here to help patrons and direct them to the resources they need.
Books: print books on caregiving will be available for checkout.
