We will be discussing the book, Sleeping in My Jeans by Connie King Leonard.

We will be discussing "Sleeping in My Jeans", by Connie King Leonard. The book is about a teenage girl who finds herself homeless with her family and grapples with every day life and survival. Join us for this discussion, as well as sharing stories about our experiences and interactions with our friends experiencing homelessness. Books will be available one month before the discussion at the Ask Us Desk for pick up. Registration not required.

The Downers Grove Public Library Foundation is happy to fund homelessness awareness events in October, including the book copies of Sleeping in My Jeans for the One Community, One Read book discussion. The Foundation funds extraordinary gifts, beyond taxpayer support, to inspire and engage ideas and strengthen DGPL as a cornerstone in our community. To learn how your donations fund future gifts and make an impact today, visit dgplfoundation.org.
