Tax expert Judi Strauss reviews this year's tax law changes and provides important tips.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 passed at the very end of last year is the biggest change to our tax code since 1986. Some of us come out “winners” under the new law, others stay much the same and still others, especially those with big real estate taxes or more than one home don’t do very well. There are changes to the standard deduction, to itemized deductions, to exemptions and even to credits - and these will impact what records we keep, how we plan for the year-end 2018 and what we can do to save tax dollars in 2019 as well.
In this workshop, Judi will discuss the many changes for your 2018 taxes as well as some important things that tend to trip us up during tax time. In addition, she will focus on strategies for “managing” this new tax law which are becoming increasingly important. And, finally, she will leave time for your questions.
