Dr. Emilie Le Beau Lucchesi tells the true story of Dorothy Still, a Navy Nurse POW in WWII. In December 1941, Dorothy was a 27-year-old California native stationed in the Philippines. Along with 11 other nurses, she was taken prisoner of the Japanese military. For more than three years, these ’12 anchors’ courageously provided care, hope, and love to thousands of ailing inmates. All 12 anchors nursed until the end, all 12 came home.
