Create a piece of infinite sculpture celebrating the theme of Banned Books Week - "Banning Books Silences Stories". Artists of any age are invited to be part of this memorable community event.

The Art Department, local artists dedicated to making Downers Grove a welcoming community for artists, will supply wooden blocks, pastels, colored pencils, glue, string, book pages, and illustrations for creating the individual blocks that will come together as the final sculpture.

The art piece will be on display as part of Visual Ensembles, an event to be held Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 21 at The TreeHouse, 4021 Fairview Ave., 2nd Floor, in Downers Grove, featuring completed works of other area artists who have collaborated for this event.
